about us:
the story of jackson
prior to the summer of 2005 my law practice was small but successful and i had no particular desire to enter into a very competitive restaurant industry in new orleans. however, while i wasn't in the industry, i was surrounded by restaurant and wine people. after the storm my legal career took a decided turn for the worse. however, being a born and raised n'awleanian, there was no question that i would stay and invest in the city's recovery no matter the odds. so, after discussing it with my friends i decided that i would invest the money and tap the talent of my restaurant friends, who had likewise been displaced. the more we talked about it, the more our ideas came to fruition...and Jackson was born.

our philosophy is simple.
we wanted to create a restaurant that offers outstanding creative food in a elegant atmosphere yet be casual and approachable. we've coupled that with professional friendly service and a large yet comfortable wine list that has wines for everyone. not to be immodest, but i am very impressed with the staff we have at jackson. the food is great, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is beautiful. simply put we have exceeded every expectation i ever had when we decided to open a restaurant.

everyone asks so i'll go ahead and tell you that the name "jackson" is my middle name. also, we're closed on tuesday because we're open on sundays and mondays. every other restaurant seems to be closed on sundays and mondays and we decided to fill that void. and last but not least we are going to start serving brunch on sundays from 10:00a-2:00p. so, thanks for reading and come and see us. we hope to impress you as well!
